Who We Are
Heather DeMarie started the business in 2003 when she transferred from Northern Virginia. In the early years, she worked by herself providing her small clientele with reliable and detailed cleaning service. Over time, the company grew through word of mouth and referrals from her best clients.
Today, Heather is proud to work alongside her experienced team of more than 25 professional cleaners to consistently provide high-quality service to over 500 clients here in Sussex.
We are a diverse team from all walks of life, but everyone is committed to getting the job done right the first time and in the most pleasant and efficient manner possible.
As a cleaning company, Heather’s Home Works in Dagsboro, DE, strives to provide a work environment that makes our team members feel empowered and valued for their individual contributions. Our top priority is to ensure that our teams receive proper training and ongoing education on the latest techniques, supplies, and approaches.

Over the last 20 years, we have participated in or raised funds for numerous organizations. Some of which include:
- Cleaning for a Reason – Providing free cleaning to cancer patients
- The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition – serves the local cancer community
- Santa’s Letters – In addition to a merry greeting, Santa’s Letters helps those in need during the holiday season. Besides financial support, our team personally helps wrap and deliver presents to over 100 families in the local community
- Dewey Goes Pink 5K Run/Walk – serves the local cancer community
- The Bethany-Fenwick Chamber (Fall Arts Festival) – promotes arts in local schools
- Center for the Inland Bays – provides education to the public about our DE waterways
- Delaware Cancer Support Community- raising funds and awareness to ensure all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, action, and sustained by the community.
- Ocean to Bay Bike Tour to Bethany Fenwick Chamber of Commerce - benefits the Delaware Center of the Inland Bays.
